Julian's racing journey began in BMX at age 3. He later took to the track for the first time in a go-kart at age 4, and progressed through 10 years of Kart racing before transitioning into MAZDA’s Spec Miata program in 2022.
His progression will continue with an expected 2024 rookie debut in to the MAZDA’s MX5 cup series.
"Racing is more than a sport to me. It’s my passion, lifestyle, and career path.
It requires discipline, focus, confidence, and respect for myself and those around me. Racing is what drives me, grounds me, and pushes me to be the best I can be on and off the track."
At the early age of 3, Julian began his racing adventures pedaling his way around a BMX track. That year, after many wins, he was recognized as the youngest racer to compete at Shoreham BMX club!
For his 4th birthday, Julian was given a Honda 50 with training wheels welded to it, allowing him to tear it up around his back yard. Soon after, when Julian began asking to race the dirt bike, his father knew it was time for the next step in Julian's racing journey.....a go-kart!
4 year old Julian hit the track for his first practice session in a go-kart at Oakland Valley Raceway, after passing a kart control and braking drill assessment. Julian showed control, composure, and determination, well beyond his years from day one behind the wheel. He began entering races immediately after turning 5, and has competed in hundreds of races across the country over the last 10 years, aiming for his own personal best performance each time.
Becoming a top contender in any sport takes commitment and dedication. Professional driving is no exception!
Very early in his kart racing days, Julian's coaches taught him that nothing will replace practice and seat time. As the saying goes, practice makes perfect!
